Does it sometimes seem that science and faith are at odds with each other when we talk about climate change? Is our faith life disconnected from our actions and how they affect God’s creation? This Lent, join us in a new Seed Bed book study examining how faith and science, together, bring hope for our planet. A Hopeful Earth- Faith, Science, and the Message of Jesus, by United Methodist bishop Sally Dyck and her niece, educator Sarah Ehrman, looks at creation care from both a biblical and scientific viewpoint. “Sally Dyck and Sarah Ehrman weave science and faith into a truth that inspires awe and respect for the universe and gives birth to a strong desire to be faithful stewards of this magnificent earth that is home to all living things,” says Rueben Job, author of Three Simple Rules. Join Fleeta Holcomb and others members of the Creation Care Ministry Team as we delve into this powerful and plainspoken book.
We will meet on Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 pm, Feb. 23-March 30. Sign up at church Sunday or contact the office so we can order the right number of books. Want to download the book instead of a paper copy? Let the office know.
