Our presenter, Richard Woods, is a member of the Creation Care Mission Team. He shares, “Ecology is the study of the relationships between living organisms, including humans, and their physical environment. What are the factors that influence the life that we see on earth? How do species adapt to their environment and interact with each other? This class will take a high-level look at those questions.”
Richard is a native Californian who holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He served as an Electrical Engineer with the federal government as a civil servant for the Navy for 32 years retiring in 2014. Since retirement, Richard has focused on continuing his education through the Spokane Community College ACT II program (adult education), both as a student and an adjunct instructor. This Spring he taught a course in Ecology and Evolution. Furthering his understanding of our relationship to our environment, Richard and his wife, MJ, traveled to the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon Rain Forest in March. They are off on a safari to Botswana and South Africa next month.
Adult Education will be held in the sanctuary and begin approximately 15 minutes following worship. This class will also be recorded on YouTube for your viewing convenience.
