On Ash Wednesday, we are marked by ashes to remember our mortality. That may sound morbid, but in truth, it is a gift to remember. To remember that we are the dust of the earth, and yet God has called us “good.” God has marked us as Image Bearers. And tonight we will remember the work that image bearers are called to in the world that God so loves.
