Presenter: Gordon Jackson
Gordon Jackson, a member of Covenant UMC since 2015, is a retired journalism professor and an author of 17 books. He came from South Africa to the United States for his education at Wheaton College and then Indiana University for graduate work. He was a member of the faculty at Whitworth University until his retirement. He continues to be involved in a number of nonprofit efforts.
In this adult education session, Gordon will describe how his writing is informed by his Christian commitment. After some introductory comments about the nature of writing, he will describe how his work is rooted in his faith.
As he has done before, he will have copies of some of his books available for sale, with the proceeds going to the scholarship program of our Sister Church in El Salvador. Gordon will have copies available of his most recent book, a light-hearted series of reflections on words. Please join us either in the sanctuary or on Zoom for this important and delightful session. We will begin approximately 10 minutes after the closing of the morning worship service.
P.S. Don’t forget the time change!
